As of December 2017, there are over 1376 digital currencies in existence. There are many cryptocurrency exchanges where people can buy, sell and trade digital coins. All of the exchanges market different coins. For example Monetha can only be purchased on Tidex, HitBTC, KuCoin and
Binance, as of December 2017.
Here is a list of cryptocurrency exchange/markets:
Bitfinex– According to their website, new account registration will resume by January 15th, 2018 at the latest.
CoinOne– Based in Korea. Scroll to the bottom of the homepage to change to English.
Coinbase/GDAX – You will first need to create a CoinBase account, then you will be able to login and trade on GDAX with your CoinBase account username and password. CoinBase actually owns GDAX. United States citizens accepted.
Bittrex – New account registration closed as of December 15, 2017.
CEX.IO – New registrations are temporarily suspended.
Quoinex – Service currently unavailable in the United States.
bitFlyer – Based in Japan. Does not accept United States citizens.
ACX – Based in Australia. Money can only be withdrawn to Australian banks. Not accepting United States applicants at this time.
Binance – This exchange has a referral program that is offering a 50% commission that is sent in real-time, to your Binance account as your referrals complete trades, and is paid to you in the cryptocurrency the original fee was paid in.
Cryptopia– Cryptopia has a rewards program that rewards you for using the site and you can earn coins for performing certain actions. They also have a lottery. There is a page on Cryptopia that shows real-time market prices on different exchanges so that you can profit from the differences.
Vaultoro – This website is for buying and selling gold with BTC.
BTC Markets – Currently only accepting Australian clients.
OKCoin – Service not available in North Korea, Syria, Iran, Sudan, Bangladesh, Bolivia, Ecuador, Kyrgyzstan and the USA.
QuadrigaCX – Cannot accept United States residents at this time. Based in Canada.
Allcoin – Does not accept users from the United States.
CoinExchange – SFICoin available first week in January 2018.
